• The Legal 500 are two of the world's most important directories that annually evaluate the largest and most prestigious law firms in the world.
  • Five years ago they decided to extend these awards to Directors or In-House Legal Advisors of Private or Public Companies.

Our Legal Director Ángela Mendieta Arroyo, was nominated and also selected to be part of this select group of In-House Counsel, the most influential in the Central American region, by being included in the GC Powerlist Central America of The Legal 500.

When asked about what this incorporation represents for her, she commented: "I am very happy and proud to have been selected and to be part of this important list, as well as to remain committed to myself, the Institution and our region to work with the highest ethical and legal standards, which will allow us to create a world in which our communities continuously benefit from the presence of their corporate citizens. In this way, we will have an impact on changing the reality and, more importantly, the international perception of the rule of law in Central America.

Angela participated in the inaugural edition of GC Powerlist: Central America 2023 which was launched at Club Union in Panama on April 27th. The event was attended by leading Central American lawyers. The event was inaugurated by the Global Business Development Manager, David Freeman, along with the participation of Siaska SSS Lorenzo, managing partner of Arias Panama, sponsor of the publication, and the research editor of The Legal 500, who also gave a few words to the attendees.
