In a key event for business development in the region, the MSME 2024 Regional Forum "Igniting Development", INCAE Business School had an outstanding participation through its representatives. This forum, held from June 19-21, 2024, brought together relevant actors of the MSME ecosystem and finance to discuss and promote financing and sustainable development options for MSMEs in Central America and the Dominican Republic.

Wendy Rodríguez, Director of Advancement LATAM of INCAE Business School

Wendy Rodríguez, Director of Advancement LATAM at INCAE Business School, was an integral part of the event, participating in the Roundtable "Triple Impact Financing and Investment". This panel, moderated by Mercy Ramos of CABEI, was also attended by Camila Mena of IDB Invest and Nicolás Ibáñez of EasyMD App. Together, they discussed the creation of a leading MSME ecosystem for sustainable development, focusing on financing options for triple impact business models.

Urs Jäger, professor at INCAE Business School

In addition, Prof. Urs Jäger of INCAE participated in the panel "Moving into the future: innovative financing strategies for MSMEs in the SICA region," where innovative and sustainable approaches to financing small and medium-sized enterprises in the region were discussed.

The MSME 2024 Regional Forum also marked the launch of the Female Entrepreneurship Fund (FEF), an initiative supported by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Luxembourg fund Invest for Development (IforD) and the development cooperation agency LuxDev, in partnership with the Regional Center for the Promotion of MSMEs (CENPROMYPE).

Rodriguez also had the honor of moderating the launch panel of the Fund, which seeks to provide reimbursable loans and technical assistance to improve the processes and operating rules of intermediary financial institutions, with the objective of changing the perception of risk associated with small and medium-sized enterprises led by women and thus promote the inclusion and economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs in the region, an objective that aligns perfectly with the values and mission of INCAE Business School.

We would like to thank CENPROMYPE for the invitation and congratulate them for organizing such a relevant Forum, as it promotes collaboration and knowledge exchange among key actors in the sector, strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the region.

INCAE Business School remains committed to sustainable development and financial inclusion, working hand in hand with our partners to drive economic and social growth in the region.
